Tom Gorup has been hired as Vice President of Security Services at Edigo, a cybersecurity and information security services provider. In this role, he will oversee a team of security professionals that specialize in helping clients protect their networks, data, applications, and systems. He will also lead the organization’s security operations, risk management, and compliance initiatives. Gorup has more than 16 years of experience in IT security and has spent the last five years as the Chief Information Security Officer at Dow Jones & Company. Prior to that, he served in numerous technical, managerial, and consulting roles at companies such as Proofpoint, Dell Secure Works, and Symantec. Gorup is certified as a CISSP, CISM, CISA, and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. At Edigo, Gorup’s main focus will be on delivering best-in-class security services to its clients. He will help the organization build upon its existing portfolio of security practices and solutions, and assist in creating innovative strategies to address the rapidly changing threat landscape.
