Digital forensics and incident response solutions startup Binalyze raises $19M
Silicon Valley-based Binalyze, a startup providing digital forensics and incident response solutions, has raised $19 million in a Series A funding round.
The round was led by Viola Ventures, and included participation from other investors, including Amsterdam-based venture firm Leapfunder.
Binalyze’s platform, which the company claims can replace multiple manual tasks involved in security incident response, is capable of collecting, correlating, and analyzing data such as network, endpoint, and cloud data to identify potential threats.
The company says that its platform can go from the data-collection stage to the mitigating of a threat in “a fraction of the time” of traditional manual methods.
This can be invaluable in dealing with sophisticated attacks.
The funds from the Series A round will mainly be used to expand its research and development teams in order to develop more advanced technologies in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytics.
It will also be used to expand the Binalyze product into new regions.
