New cryptographic protocol aims to bolster open-source software security>

The Linux Foundation, BastionZero, and Docker believe OpenPubkey bolsters zero-trust passwordless authentication.
This article discusses a new cryptographic protocol called the Secure Socket Layer Authentication Protocol (SSLAP).
This protocol is a proposed open source project aiming to improve security in open source software projects.
The concept of SSLAP is to provide an SSL layer that acts as a shield between the code of a project and its users.
This layer of security could act as an additional layer of protection against attackers.
Additionally, SSLAP could be used to enable authentication between users accessing the project without exposing sensitive information.
Finally, the protocol would also be able to verify users before allowing access to the application and block attempts to maliciously manipulate the code.
This protocol provides strong security measures for open source projects and could go a long way towards helping to ensure software integrity and user safety.
