Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud computing, has announced the addition of new anti-ransomware features to its cloud platform.
The new features, called Prism Protect, are designed to protect organizations from the increasingly sophisticated ransomware threats targeting cloud users.
The new features use advanced file analytics and machine learning to detect potential ransomware attacks and block those attacks immediately.
To defend against attack, Prism Protect creates immutable, consistent snapshots of critical data and stores these snapshots off-host in a secure storage repository.
The snapshots provide the data necessary for quick recovery if an attack is successful.
In addition to the new anti-ransomware features, Nutanix is also introducing enhancements to its disaster recovery capabilities.
The company is now delivering a fully automated Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) solution, which allows organizations to quickly set up a replication target in the cloud in order to create a disaster recovery plan and restore operations more quickly after an attack.
Nutanix’s new anti-ransomware and DRaaS features are designed to help businesses reduce the risk of a ransomware attack and protect their data.
