Samsung boosts protection against malware and threats with Device Security app update – Sammy Fans>

Samsung is rolling out an October 2023 update to its Device Security app which promises to add several new security features.
The update is being made available on compatible Android phones and tablets, and will also be included in the recent and upcoming Galaxy devices.
The main feature of the updated Device Security app is its improved security scanning that will detect and analyze over 100 security points on the user’s device.
The app also comes with a secure boot protection mode, which will verify the integrity of your device’s firmware before it starts and ensure that no malicious code can be loaded.
Additionally, the update also adds a Private Mode, which lets users hide personal files and photos from being accessed by anyone without permission.
The app also allows users to remotely erase private data in the event a device is lost or stolen.
In order to get the updated security app, users must have a compatible Galaxy device running Android 10 or above, or any other Android device running Android 9.0 Pie or above.
The update is expected to start rolling out this week.
