Veeam Couples Data Platform with Sophos

Veeam and Sophos have announced an upcoming integration between the Veeam Data Platform and the Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service.
This integration aims to enable organizations to detect cyber threats and recover from cyberattacks more effectively.
The integration is expected to become available later in 2023.
Through this integration, Veeam and Sophos offer a combination of human-led threat detection and response capabilities, specifically focused on securing backups against ransomware attacks.
Organizations can leverage the Veeam Data Platform to monitor their environments and identify threats targeting their production workloads and backup environments.
In case of a threat detection, Veeam will alert Sophos MDR.
The Sophos MDR security operations team will then assess the situation, determine if an attack is in progress, and take appropriate measures to disrupt, contain, and eliminate the threat.
