TN Global –
Veritas Technologies has announced that Microsoft is the first Veritas 360 Defense partner to achieve Veritas REDLab Validation for its security solutions.
This validation certifies that Microsoft Defender can be securely integrated into Veritas’ Alta cloud data management platform and NetBackup products.
The collaboration between Veritas and Microsoft enables the identification of the last known good data copy following a ransomware attack, ensuring a clean recovery and fast restoration of operations.
Veritas 360 Defense provides a comprehensive solution for safeguarding data against ransomware by combining Veritas’ secure multi-cloud data management platform with solutions from leading security vendors like Microsoft.
Customers will have access to reference designs validated by the Veritas REDLab to guide them in the secure implementation of jointly deployed solutions.
The integration between Veritas Alta and Microsoft Defender allows for scanning of backup data on immutable storage to prevent the restoration of malware-infected data.
Veritas and Microsoft’s partnership aims to help customers build zero-trust security models and be cyber resilient, protecting against downtime, data loss, and regulatory penalties.
The collaboration includes previous integrations such as Veritas’ integration with Microsoft Sentinel and Azure, as well as certifications for Veritas Alta SaaS Protection and Veritas Alta Data Compliance.
