Proofpoint to Get 3rd CEO Since 2022 as Ashan Willy Departs

Thomas joined Proofpoint eight months ago, bringing significant experience in finance and previous roles at Extreme Networks, CA Technologies, HPE Software, and Alcatel-Lucent.

Under Willy’s leadership, Proofpoint made significant developments, including the acquisition of deception firm Illusive to enhance its identity risk discovery and remediation capabilities.

This CEO transition denotes the ongoing evolution at Proofpoint, which was acquired by Thoma Bravo in 2021 and has since made strategic acquisitions, expanding its offerings.
