Sophos, a global leader in innovative security solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Tenable, the Exposure Management company, to provide Sophos Managed Risk, a worldwide vulnerability and attack surface management service
The new service combines a dedicated Sophos team with Tenable’s exposure management technology and Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR) experts to offer comprehensive cybersecurity protection
Key points:
1) Sophos Managed Risk addresses the modern attack surface, which has expanded beyond traditional on-premises IT boundaries, leaving organizations vulnerable to cyberattacks.
2) The service assesses an organization’s external attack surface, prioritizes the riskiest exposures, and provides tailored remediation guidance to help eliminate blind spots and prevent attacks.
3) The Sophos Active Adversary Report identifies three critical tasks for organizations to minimize the risk of intrusions: closing exposed Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) access, enabling multi-factor authorization, and patching vulnerable servers.
4) Sophos Managed Risk offers benefits such as External Attack Surface Management (EASM), continuous monitoring and proactive notification of high-risk exposures, vulnerability prioritization, and identification of new risks.
5) The service is available as an extended service with Sophos MDR and works closely with the Sophos Managed Risk team, which is Tenable-certified, to share essential information about vulnerabilities and exposure risks
Sophos Managed Risk simplifies the task of identifying vulnerabilities, understanding risk exposure, and prioritizing necessary remediations
The service is available through Sophos’ global network of channel partners and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), with an MSP Flex version planned for 2024.
