In an effort to help organisations analyse and detect threats more quickly, Cisco has announced upgrades to its network security analytics software. The latest version of Cisco Stealthwatch Cloud adds new features to detect malicious activity across remote work environments, networks with a large number of cloud applications and cloud-enabled networks with distributed enterprise architectures. The software also integrates with Cisco Cognitive Service Edge (CTE) to automate the creation of visual maps of network topologies and hop-by-hop analysis to detect anomalies. This integration reduces the time it takes to detect malicious events and respond. Cisco Stealthwatch Cloud now supports cloud-native deployment models and advanced analytics, including machine learning and anomaly detection. It also provides visibility into customer-managed clouds as well as visibility across network security deployments. The software includes a unified interface for alert investigation, diagnostics and remediation that supports advanced analytics and integration with security information and event management (SIEM). This enables customers to quickly identify threats, take action and reduce the amount of time required to investigate. The new solutions provide customers with a centralised view into the security posture of their networks and clouds, allowing them to save time and money by using automation to detect and respond to attacks.
