In a culture and morale dominated workplace, employees feel empowered to help protect the organization, feel their efforts are appreciated, and take part in making their workplace environments both secure and enjoyable. The most significant benefit of having a secure, positive, and secure cultural environment is that it builds resiliency within the organization. Employees who feel their efforts are appreciated and their input is valued are much more likely to think, act, and think outside the box when faced with a security challenge. Such out-of-the-box thinking can lead to safer and more secure operations and processes. This leads to a reduction in incidents, meaning fewer threats reaching production systems. Of course, this in turn leads to faster remediation times, resulting in fewer outages and saving both time and money.
