India’s Wipro says CFO Dalal resigns, replaced by 20-yr veteran Iyer>

India’s IT services firm Wipro Ltd said on Wednesday Chief Financial Officer Jatin Dalal had decided to step down after nearly seven years in the role.
Dalal, who was also on the company’s board, will be replaced by Chief Operating Officer Suresh Senapaty as interim CFO starting Aug. 1, Wipro said in a statement.
Senapaty will also continue to serve as the COO, it said.
The company said it had started an internal and external search for a new CFO and that Dalal would stay on in an advisory role until he steps down in October.
Dalal, who has been with Wipro since 1991, was appointed as the CFO in 2011.
Under his leadership, Wipro has seen a slew of expansion into new markets, such as Latin America, Europe.
He played a key role in the company’s joint venture with Hitachi in Japan, as well as its acquisitions of firms like HealthPlan Services in the United States and Appirio in India.
