CrowdStrike recently made a surprising announcement during Fal.Con 2023 in Las Vegas.
They unveiled a new product called Falcon for IT, which utilizes their cybersecurity technologies to improve routine IT tasks such as asset inventory and CPU utilization.
The response to this new tool has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing excitement and interest in trying it out.
CrowdStrike’s existing Falcon software agent, already present on a large number of endpoint devices, provides the foundation for this expansion into the broader IT space.
The aim is to enable IT teams to manage policies, deploy software, and make real-time changes across their systems with the help of CrowdStrike’s generative AI-powered assistant, Charlotte AI.
Falcon for IT has various use cases, including asset inventory, determining CPU utilization, assessing software utilization, and potentially displacing remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
