PagerDuty scoops up incident management startup Jeli.io>
– Ron Miller
Incident management company PagerDuty has announced its acquisition of early-stage startup Jeli.io.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Jeli.io, founded in 2019 by Nora Jones, specializes in incident response management, helping teams understand and learn from incidents to improve future reactions.
The company’s product includes an incident response bot integrated with Slack, enabling users to initiate incident response, create Jira tickets, and share incident reports with relevant stakeholders.
PagerDuty aims to enhance its incident management capabilities using Jeli.io’s tools, offering a range of services from internal incident resolution to managing customer impact during outages.
While Jeli.io was not actively seeking a sale, PagerDuty’s alignment and resources were deemed a perfect fit for faster growth.
PagerDuty’s data is a valuable source for Jeli.io, making the acquisition logical.
The majority of Jeli.io’s employees, including its founder Nora Jones, will join PagerDuty.
The deal was signed but will close at a later date yet to be disclosed.
