KVH Industries, Inc. and Kognitive Networks Inc. have signed an exclusive, multi-year maritime agreement.
Under this partnership, Kognitive’s suite of network and bandwidth management tools will be integrated into KVH’s mobile communication service offerings.
The software will enhance KVH’s marine communication solutions, including the integration of various communication channels such as 5G/LTE, VSAT, Starlink, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet.
The new tools offered by Kognitive Networks will provide features like real-time data metering and analysis, advanced routing and channel bonding, deep packet inspection, traffic policies, and VPN.
The collaboration aims to deliver robust network management capabilities for shipboard operations, crew, owners, and guests over the KVH ONE global hybrid network.
This integration will benefit existing and future customers by harmonizing network performance and security with ease of use.
The advanced technology will also be integrated into the KVH ONE OpenNet Program, deliver versatility in Starlink integration, enhance TracNet and TracPhone connectivity systems, and be offered as a standalone product for other onboard marine applications.
