Cigent has expanded its portfolio of secure storage drives with new form factors to address the growing need for data protection in edge devices, such as PCs, unmanned vehicles, drones, and IoT devices, which are collecting, processing, and storing sensitive data
The new Secure Storage drives have been developed for and with U.S. federal agencies to protect against physical and remote attacks that risk data integrity
The new Secure Storage drives include:
1) Secure Storage SSD BGA: Provides hardware encryption protection for unmanned vehicles, IoT, OT, and other edge devices, operating in extreme conditions (-40° to 105°C).
2) Secure Storage 2230: Supports new drive configurations in modern PCs, including Microsoft Surface, Dell Latitude, and HP EliteBooks, providing NSA CSfC-certified pre-boot authentication (PBA) and full drive hardware encryption.
3) Secure Storage SD and MicroSD cards: Offer hardware-encrypted data protection with small form factors for PCs, tablets, OT, and unmanned vehicles, supporting Linux and Windows OS and meeting industrial temperature requirements
In addition to full drive encryption, Secure Storage solutions can create hidden partitions for sensitive data and allow remote erasure using crypto and full block wiping
The protections have been verified by experts, including NSA, NIAP, and MITRE, and are used by government organizations requiring the highest level of protection
Cigent CEO and co-founder John Benkert, a former Air Force Intelligence and NSA veteran, emphasized that the expanded Secure Storage suite ensures sensitive data at the edge is protected against current and future threats in the most sensitive and potentially hostile environments
Cigent storage can be configured and administered at scale through a management console and a Command Line Interface (CLI) tool, with Cigent and its ecosystem of partners supporting procurement, delivery, and deployment requirements.
