Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP) RASP refers to a security technology that is embedded or linked into an application or application runtime environment. This technology is capable of controlling the execution of the application and detecting and preventing real-time attacks. The Risk Assessment Standardization Project (RASP) was initiated to provide consistent methods for use by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff in performing risk assessments in various risk-informed regulatory applications [2].

There are several advantages to using RASP tools. The first is visibility.
