Kaspersky has announced the appointment of Peter Chinaka as the new General Manager (GM) for Africa with immediate effect. In his position, Peter will further build the company’s presence in the region and will report to Vyacheslav Pershin, Managing Director for Emerging Markets. Peter has a wealth of experience in the IT industry, with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. He has worked for several leading companies including Microsoft, IBM, Autodesk, Dell, and Citrix. Peter is passionate about the impact technology can have on the continent and he is committed to helping develop the African market. He has always shown a willingness to embrace new technologies and approaches that can improve cybersecurity across all African countries. Peter has been instrumental in launching Kaspersky’s first Africa operations in Nigeria and the establishment of its presence in Ghana and Tanzania. He is determined to continue to expand the company’s presence across Africa while delivering innovative protection and control to customers.
