OPSWAT publishes 2023 Threat Intelligence Survey results, highlights need for detection capabili…

The 2021 OPSWAT Threat Intelligence Survey, conducted by OPSWAT, Inc., a cybersecurity company, highlights the need for more advanced detection capabilities in order to protect organizations from constantly evolving cyberthreats. Drawing from interviews and surveys of over 300 IT and cybersecurity professionals in the private and public sectors worldwide, including the U.S., the survey revealed the top Security, Compliance and Data Protection (SCDP) challenges and areas of focus for the next two years. The survey found that, overall, organizations understand the need for advanced detection capabilities in order to protect their networks and systems from cyberthreats, but need to improve in this area. 43% of respondents cited “lack of capability to detect sophisticated threats” as a major challenge, illustrating the need for organizations to increase their detection capabilities in order to stay ahead of cyberattacks. Additionally, 34% of respondents indicated that their organizations did not have the proper resources or budget to address their SCDP needs. The survey also revealed that the cyberthreat landscape is rapidly changing and organizations need to stay up-to-date in order to protect themselves.
