WhatsApp releases new security features to protect users’ IP addresses>

WhatsApp has introduced a new privacy feature that allows users to hide their IP address during calls, enhancing the security and privacy of the platform.
This option, “Protect IP address in calls,” can be enabled in the settings to route calls through WhatsApp’s relay servers, preventing other parties on the call from discovering each other’s geographical locations.
This feature adds to WhatsApp’s existing end-to-end encryption for calls and messages, ensuring that even relayed calls are not accessible to WhatsApp.
This follows a previous update that gave users the ability to silence unknown callers, further bolstering user privacy on the app.
